Top Hats and Tap Dancing at Lunchtime
Shakespeare meets Hollywood’s Golden Age as one of Shakespeare’s great comedies becomes a grand 1930’s musical. “If Music be the Food of Love, Play on”. With such musical gems as “Cheek to Cheek”, “Let’s Face the Music and Dance” and “They Can’t Take That Away From Me”, we are doing just that.
Fresh from several sell-out shows, C Company is scheduled for an extended run of 4 weeks at The Bridewell Theatre, giving our dedicated followers and new fans more lunchtime treats. C Company has pioneered the Meisner acting method in London, guaranteeing surprise and authenticity for actors and audiences alike, and now bring this magic to Shakespeare’s sublime Twelfth Night.
C Company’s 2010 Shakespeare season looks at Romantic Love; starting with Twelfth Night where people fall in love with lightning speed, Cymbeline where love brings a world of pain to the faithful and A Midsummer Night’s Dream where crossing the fine line between love and hate turns everything on its head.
